We met many enthused Commodore GEOS Users. The Berkeley Softworks booth was manned by Angela McKenna of Customer Service, Peter Hughes (GeoLib PH) and his twin brother Paul (SYSOP PH). Jim Collette (GEOREP JIM) and his father helped answer questions one day. The first glimpse of the geoRam was seen at this show. It is white and narrower and longer than the 1750 REU. The geoRam should be shipping the second week of January. It is 512K and your computer does not need a larger power supply. The price is listed at $124.95. The geoRam will only work with a special GEOS boot disk included with it. CMD was showing GEOS working with a 1581 partition on their 20 Meg Hard Drive that costs about $579.00. 0@000000ß @geoPrograms 0@000000ß ÊMikeG1024 has uploaded two new programs - 'ruler' and 'print screen'. Ruler is a movable desk accessory that provides a tape measure line and x and y coordinates similar to geoPaint's ruler. It shows pixels and inches at the same time. You can calibrate the ruler's inch scales to your printer's horizontal and vertical dots-per-inch by entering these values in the file's info box with the deskTop such as 60,72 or 80,72. Use Ruler to accurately measure on-screen images so that they print correctly on your printer. Print Screen is a desk accessory that prints the current GEOS screen to your printer. 0@000000ß @geoPaints 0@000000ß ÊDickE uploaded two arced geoPaint files of of excellent railroad art by Frank Preivo of the Catalina Commodore Computer Club in Tuscon, ÊAZ. The files are called 'railroad1.sda' and 'railroad2.sda'. There is Êan old steam engine and some other railroad cars. This collection includes many, detailed and full-screen railroad cars. If you don't get a train set for Christmas at least you can download these files, print them, and cut them out to make your own train set. 0@000000ß @geoFonts 0@000000ßÊ 0@000000ßÊDickE also uploaded a train font called 'trains/01'. This font file produces railroad engines, cars and other railroad art on the number keys 1 thru 0. The cover is in full color and shows a picture of Santa checking his list to see who is naughty and nice on his Commodore 64 computer. Roger Eller created and color-separated the cover in geoPublish. This issue has many excellent articles. Here is a summary of the topics: object- oriented graphics, manipulating photo scraps, sizing bitmap graphics, color separation with geoPaint, transfering files between C-64 and Mac, converting Commodore GEOS files to Apple GEOS files, a review of Picshow 3.3 and geoSidplayer. ͳ@ôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôô¾¾¾¾ààààààààààààààààààààààààààààààààààààààààààààààààààààààààà
